    Orange County Accepts Tourism Tax Recommendations Orange County commissioners have accepted a new set of recommendations for spending future tourism-tax revenue. No projects have actually received the money yet, but the proposals could eventually bring new museums, parks, environmental improvements, cultural attractions and major investments to communities across Orange County. When visitors stay in an Orange County hotel, vacation rental or other short-term lodging, they pay an extra tax. Most residents probably never see it. But the money involved is enormous.
